Executive Leadership Strategist | Cancer Psychologist
Creator of the Women’s Cancer Command Framework™
Dr. Shibani Ray-Mazumder is an executive leadership strategist and licensed cancer psychologist practicing in both New York and California.
For more than a decade, she has worked with professional women navigating the complex intersection of cancer, leadership, career responsibility, and family life.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Shibani has supported patients, caregivers, and survivors who are simultaneously managing medical uncertainty while continuing to lead organizations, teams, and households.
Her work focuses on the psychological and leadership challenges that often remain invisible in traditional cancer care — identity disruption, decision fatigue, emotional containment, and the pressure many high-achieving women feel to remain strong for everyone around them.
This work is also deeply personal.
Several years ago, while building and running her private practice, Dr. Shibani became the primary caregiver for her sister-in-law during her cancer journey.
She witnessed firsthand what many professional women experience but rarely speak about openly — the quiet emotional strain of trying to hold everything together while life is fundamentally shifting.
The medical system focused on treatment.
Friends and colleagues focused on survival.
But no one was speaking about the identity impact.
The leadership strain.
The emotional complexity of navigating fear, responsibility, and decision-making at the same time.
That experience shaped Dr. Shibani’s understanding of how profoundly cancer can intersect with professional identity.
Through her work with hundreds of women, Dr. Shibani began to recognize a pattern.
The women she worked with were not lacking strength.
In fact, they were often extraordinarily resilient.
What they lacked was a structured way to stabilize their identity, protect their decision capacity, and navigate leadership while cancer was present in their lives.
This insight led her to develop the Women’s Cancer Command Framework™.
The framework integrates principles from clinical psychology, emotional intelligence, and leadership strategy to help professional women:
• regain clarity in decision-making
• stabilize their leadership identity
• manage emotional overwhelm without losing authority
• navigate work, family, and illness simultaneously
• move from survival mode back into intentional leadership
Mission
Dr. Shibani’s mission is to ensure that cancer does not quietly erode the leadership identity of the women who carry so much responsibility in their professional and personal lives.
Through mentorship, education, and leadership development, she helps women reconnect with their strength, their clarity, and their capacity to lead — even in the midst of profound life challenges.
If any part of this resonates with you, you are not the only woman navigating this intersection.
And there are structured ways to regain clarity, stability, and leadership presence as you move forward.
